ALJ Findings, Conclusions, and Recommendations

The Office of Administrative Hearings has reviewed the Marshall Solar Energy Project record and Administrative Law Judge Barbara J. Case has published her findings of fact, conclusions of law, and recommendations. This report will help inform the Public Utilities Commission in their determination of the Marshall Solar Project.

Minnesota Public Utilities Commission/Department of Commerce Public Hearings

The Minnesota Public Utilities Commission and the Department of Commerce, along with Administrative Law Judge Barbara Case from the Office of Administrative Hearings held two public hearings to discuss the merits of the Marshall Solar Project and receive any public comments on the Environmental Assessment. The hearings were held at Southwest Minnesota State University on Tuesday October 20, 2015 at 6pm and Wednesday October 21, 2015 at 11am.

Department of Commerce Environmental Assessment Published

The Department of Commerce issued its Environmental Assessment (EA) on September 30, 2015. The EA analyzes multiple environmental factors and explains any possible impacts the Marshall Solar Project may have on those factors.

Department of Commerce Scoping Decision Report

The Department of Commerce issued its Scoping Decision Report. The Scoping process has two purposes: (1) to ensure that the public has a chance to participate in determining what sites and issues are studied in the Environmental Assessment ("EA"), and (2) to help focus the EA on impacts and issues important to a reasoned site permit decision.

Minnesota Public Utilities Commission Approves Power Purchase Agreement
